Group honors Selby

Tomi Selby, president and chief executive officer of Wetumpka-based Information Transport Solutions, was honored by the Central Alabama Women's Business Center during its 2006 Breakfast with Success. Selby, who founded I.T.S. in 1993, has more than 30 employees and an annual revenue exceeding $10 million.

The breakfast was part of the Women in Business Conference in Birmingham.

Wilson Price promotes 3

Wilson Price Information Technology has announced three promotions.

Tim Womble has been admitted as a partner of the company. He has been at Wilson Price IT since 2000. He has a bachelor's degree in accounting from Auburn University. Womble and his wife have three children and live in Montgomery.

Mike Hale and Dan Pace have been promoted to senior systems engineers.

Hale, who joined Wilson Price IT in 2003, has a degree in electronics technology from Wallace College in Dothan. He and his wife have two children and live in Montgomery.

Pace began working with Wilson Price IT as a subcontractor in 1998 while working full time supporting military systems for the government. After his retirement from the military in 2004, he joined Wilson Price IT on a full-time basis as a systems engineer. Pace received a bachelor's degree in business administration from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, Va. He also has a bachelor's degree in computer science from Troy University. He and his wife live in Montgomery.

Lawyers join Fellows Program

The Alabama Law Foundation has selected lawyers to join its Fellows Program, which honors Alabama bar members for contributions to their profession and their community. Fellows receive the opportunity to increase their leadership roles through the Alabama Law Foundation, which is the charitable arm of the Alabama State Bar.

This year's fellows from the Montgomery area include Richard F. Calhoun of Troy, partner in Calhoun, Faulk, Watkins & Faircloth; Sue Bell Cobb of Montgomery, Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals; Thomas H. Keene of Montgomery, a partner in Rushton, Stakely, Johnston & Garrett; J. Anthony McLain of Montgomery, general counsel of the Alabama Bar; and James E. Williams of Montgomery, a partner in Melton, Espy & Williams.

Cleaners ranked in Top 10

Peaches N Clean of Montgomery has been ranked in the Top 10 in four categories in CM/Cleanfax magazine's 2005 Carpet Cleaning Industry Leaders Review.

Pam Martin is the owner and operator of Peaches N Clean.

61 Addy Awards go to 2 firms

LWT Communications, a Montgomery-based advertising and marketing firm, and LWTKBK New Media, a digital and interactive design and development company, received a total of 61 Addy Awards in the Montgomery Advertising Federation's 2005-06 American Advertising Awards.

LWT Communications partner Jim Leonard was named copywriter of the year.

LWT Communications was founded in. LWTKBK New Media, founded in 1998, is a Web development firm. Together, the two companies placed seventh in a recent ranking of the Top 20 Alabama advertising agencies for 2006 compiled by Business Alabama Monthly magazine.

Women's Council honored

The National Association of Home Builders' Women's Council has recognized the Greater Montgomery Home Builders' Association Women's Council for achievements in an outstanding community outreach program.

The Greater Montgomery HBA Women's Council received the second-place award for its community service activities, including its scholarship program, team participation in the Relay for Life to raise funds for cancer research, and donations of sporting goods to a camp for children with cancer.

PCH adds 2 to sales team

PCH Hotels & Resorts has added two people to its sales team for its Marriott hotels and the Renaissance hotel under construction in Montgomery.

Kevin Hellmich has been named area director of sales and marketing for the Auburn/Opelika Marriott at Grand National, Marriott Prattville at Capitol Hill and the Renaissance Montgomery. Hellmich has worked for Marriott properties across the country since 1990. He is a graduate of Purdue University and is married with two children.

Kristi Davis has joined PCH as sales manager for the Marriott properties in Prattville and Opelika. Davis attended Nettleton Buena Vista University in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and is a former Mrs. Nebraska.
